Apple has joined the AI Party

Plus, a pair of $3500 goggles

Let’s Be Great,

Apple released its first new product since 2015 and it is a big one…

Apple’s Vision Pro Headset is coming in 2024 and all you will need to get your hands on one is a mere $3500!

The headset resembles a futuristic pair of ski goggles and can immerse the wearer in virtual reality while also blending in real-world elements of augmented reality.

This announcement shows Apple’s investment in keeping pace with the competition (Oculus) and leads us to believe they are not far from releasing even more AI tools this Summer.

Apple Sneaking In AI WIthout Saying “AI”

Even though nobody said the word “AI” at WWDC they used some synonyms.

They said “prompts”, “on device machine learning”, “machine learning models” and “transformer-powered” when describing new AI features but in the entire 2+ hour presentation they avoided the elephant in the room.

Why do this?? BRANDING

Apple is all about branding and they see the word AI as not being synonymous with Apple. This is the same reason they will never use the word Metaverse during a presentation, it reminds people of Facebook.

They didn’t build a product ecosystem that traps you into lifetime usage by casually mentioning other products. I would fully expect them to have their own coined terms for the Metaverse and AI in the next 6 months or so.

Go Be Great,

Clark
